LG 34WQ73A-B is this a good monitor for video editing? I’m planning to use this with a mac studio. I can’t find any reviews for this particular model, I’m curious why that’s the case. This meets my criteria for a monitor. Let me know guys.

LG 45GR95QE-B 240hz oled screen flicker video part 2

Main Post:

Hoping LG catches this thread and releases a firmware update. It works fine in games and all but only in certain applications in windows. like (windows media player movies & TV application it occurs) it seems fine in VLC Player

screen flicker part 1

Top Comment:

This sort of flickering shouldn't be happening watching a video. Are you using the cord the monitor came with?

LG oled C4 and Receiver, issues with input video.

Main Post:

Hi all proud new owner of a 83 inch LG C4. My set up is I have a few things like a switch, PlayStation 3 Firestick, etc plugged into a Sony STR – DN 1040 receiver and then using one arc HDMI cable going to the LG TV. I’m not super smart on these things, but it seems like the TV’s is built in smart apps override the recover video outputs. so for instance, when I try to play the switch: switch is on, I turn the receiver, on the switch input, the Tv doesn’t seem to “get” the switch signal. I have a feeling it’s because everything is connected with the one arc HDMI cable, and the TVs built in smart apps supersede that signal. Kind of at a loss here any insights would be very helpful thank you.

Top Comment:

There's an LG setting that controls whether it powers up to its own apps or a different input. Of course, once the TV is on, you can select any input you want to watch.

Are you wanting the TV to switch inputs on its own when you start one of the external devices? If so, that's HDMI-CEC functions that you need to configure on all the devices.

Video of LG B4 vs G4 vs C4 side by side (L to R)

Main Post:

No idea what the setting are. The B4 has a great picture but in this example you can see how it's noticeably darker

Top Comment: Stores may also arrange screens to favour models that give them more profit. Make your budget and function your primary consideration then brightness within those.

LG OLED B1 - Video-Audio Syncronization Problem While Watching From The External Hard Drive

Main Post:

I have LG OLED B1 TV.

I have Audio-Video Syncronization problem on the TV while watching the 4k Movies from the external HDD.

The External HDD is

Seagate Expansion Portable, 5 TB, External Hard Drive, USB 3.0, Mac ve PC, ‎2.5-inch, ‎5900 Dev/Dk, 2 yıl Rescue Services (STKM5000400)

https://www.amazon.com.tr/gp/product/B08ZJFYB9J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Question 1) What’s the problem? Is the External HDD has too much capacity for this purpose? (5 TB)

Question 2) Will the problem be solved If I buy a USB Flash Drive with A) High Transfer & Read Speed B) Less Capacity

LG TV won't play video from USB drive - says invalid file.

Main Post:

The TV is a 2011 model and the thumbdrives I'm attempting to play are formatted as NTFS and the MP4s on each is in the range of 6-8 GB. This is not a smart TV and not connected to the internet, and it has a single USB port. I created the USB drives on my Linux computers and they play fine on a PC. Manual claims the TV is compatible with USB files, and when thumbdrive is plugged in, it shows the file in "media" but will not play it, sending me an "invalid file" message instead.

LG support is totally unhelpful. Live chat person actually looked up my serial/model numbers and came back with "It won't work because yours is an LED TV." Then sent me a link showing all the devices that will work on my my TV which includes USB.

This is very frustrating. I'm wanting to cut off my satellite service, but need to replace it with ability to watch movies on USB device. Any help would be much appreciated.

Top Comment: A lot of TVs require that the USB device be formatted as FAT32 (a near universal USB standard). I've seen Visio TVs that will not play .avi video files. I had to convert them to mp4. Manual will typically state acceptable file formats for playback.

LG C2 and Xbox Series X audio and video issues

Main Post:

Hey guys,

Got a C2 recently and the Xbox seems to be having a real issue with it but not convinced if it’s the console or TV.

Intermittently the sound won’t work and the image shrinks to a window half the size of the TV.

I’ve tried power cycles, changing ports, changing some settings and changing HDMI cables.

Anyone had a similar experience or have a suggestion? Thank you

Try this:

I was able to fix the xbsx losing signal with the lg C2 42 and 48 tvs.

Connect the xbsx to HDMI 1 Use the provided ultra high HDMI 2.1 cable included with the xbsx. It has to be connected to HDMI 1 or you will have issues. Once I did this the problem is gone. Make sure you are on the latest lg firmware.

Tested on both lg 42 and 48 C2 tvs.
